Rusticatio is one of the very few companies in the region offering this type of unique wooden products. Therefore, online presence is crucial for customers who are not in the proximity of Austrian and German showrooms.

 

Rusticatio is a German-Austrian company specialized in the reproduction of antique doors and windows. Their full-wood products are custom made in small workshops for individual projects. Often refurbishment of old and protected buildings, villas, and castles. It is a niche market, but thanks to Austrian, German, and Swiss consciousness, culture, and effort in preservation of the historical architecture – it is also a very active one.

Rusticatio is one of a very few companies in the region offering this type of unique wooden products. Therefore, an good online presence is crucial for customers who are not in the proximity of Austrian and German showrooms.

The old website contained a pile of unstructured information and failed in presenting products accurately. The visual identity hardly existed and, over time, got stranded from what it was initially meant to be.

Our task was to create a visual identity and the website which will present this uniqueness of the company and the products in the right way. Classy, quality-oriented, emphasizing the individual approach to the client and respect for history. The new logo was derived from the symbol of an old-style key, in combination with classic serif typography and the natural “wooden” color. Moreover, the same “look and feel”, as well as the philosophy was used in the web UX and UI.

 

The website was designed in a catalog style, easy to navigate and use, allowing the products to present themselves – letting the photographs to tell the story. Therefore, we showcased real projects done on houses and apartments throughout Europe (from Austria and Germany to Spain and Greece). The photographs are the main visual element of the website, which became a full-scale digital showroom for the company. Online contact forms, online ordering systems, and easily accessible product data simplify the process for the customers who are not able to visit the showrooms physically.

In conclusion, did Rusticatio clients like it? Within the first few weeks from the new website launch, online inquiries increased by 50%.
